Donna Jean Sluss age 75, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born July 21, 1948 in Phillipi, W.V., the daughter of the late Peter Paul and Margaret Alice (Reed) Phillips. Donna was a 1965 graduate of Hoover High School and later attended Business College. She was a Homemaker and Caregiver to the end. Donna truly enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved people and would open her home to anyone in need. She enjoyed her friendship with her Hoover High girls and her special neighbors from Buttonshoe Drive.
On December 20, 1969 Donna married Thomas L. Sluss who preceded her in death in 2022. Survivors include her children, DeeAnna Long, Miriam (Ben) Hunsicker, Andrew (Heidi) Sluss, Philip (Kristen) Sluss; grandchildren, Caleb, Faith, Andrew, Zechariah, Isaac, Luke, Gideon, Silas, Evvy, Jeremiah, Micah, and Naomi; her siblings, Dennis (Roberta) Phillips, David Phillips, Duretha (Rob) Mayle, Daniel (Sherry) Phillips, and Darwin Phillips; along with her longtime friend, Elizabeth (Malcom) Owens.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW, North Canton, OH. 44720 a Memorial Service celebrating Donna's life will follow at 3:00 PM. with Pastor Brett Faris officiating.
