Donna Marie Smith met Our Heavenly Father on October 9, 2023, in Oldsmar, Florida. The youngest born to Dot and John Tranter in Dothan, Alabama.
She is survived by her husband Duane Smith. Donna's heart overflowed with adoration for her children and grandchildren: Jonathan (Nicole) duMee and their children Chase, Julianna, and Emma; Jeni (Jordan) Johnson and their children Luke and Alora; Evan (Emily) duMee and their children Easton, Ellis, Eisley and Emerson; Joy (Joey) Stein and their children Benjamin and David.
Donna was trained as a Physician's Assistant and extended support to others throughout her life as it was important to share her faith in the Lord in all things. Her life was a living testament to the transformative power of faith, as she extended unwavering support to all she encountered.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to the Healing Ministry at Grace and Faith Church, a cause close to Donna's heart:

A Celebration of Donna's Life will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Veterans Memorial Park from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Following the service, all are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship at Philippe Park, shelter #7, at 12:00 noon.

Duane and Donna have been my neighbors since Oct. 2019. Donna and I were coffee lovers and spent many mornings chatting and enjoying our coffee on our shared porch. We became good friends, trading dinners, snacks, treats and celebrating birthdays over the years and even spent some holidays together. The picture I posted is from Easter 2023 and I decided everyone needed a photo with bunny ears and we all had a good laugh about it. I absolutely love this memory. Donna was also my favorite person to share chocolate with and funny pet videos. Sam, Mr. Pete, our dog Buttercup and I are going to miss her terribly. She was always so thoughtful and kind to us.
