Mrs. Donna Lee Swank

Donna Lee (McKnight) Swank, 72, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Ocala, Florida, after an extended illness.
Donna was born in New Castle on November 1, 1949, to Donald O. & Erline McKnight. She was a 1968 graduate of Anderson High School. She worked several years with the 911 Dispatch in Anderson and was also an officer with the Edgewood Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff's Department before she became a housewife.
She loved caring for her husband, Duane Swank, whom she married on August 11, 1978, and the many chows they had throughout her life. During her life she was a member of the Anderson Corvette Club and an active member in the Adorable Chows Club, where she met many dear friends. Donna enjoyed boating and many trips that Duane and her took to Canada, Michigan, & Georgian Bay. She loved animals including horses, birds, and especially her dogs. She was an avid photographer of lighthouses.
Donna leaves behind her husband, Duane Swank; stepdaughters, Tracy (husband, John) Massey of Fortville & Kris (husband, Jim) Vance of New Palestine; brother-in-law, Brad Swank; sister-in-law, Meribeth (husband, Bill) Jackson; step-grandson, Evan (wife, Kylie) Vance; step-granddaughter, Reece Massey; she also leaves behind her beloved chow, KC; as well as many other relatives & friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

All are welcome to attend a graveside service at 11:00 am Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by Pastor Rick Vale.
