Donna was one of thirteen children born to Elster Madison Bass and Mildred Inez (Barnes) Bass on June 21, 1948, in Porum, Oklahoma. She was raised in Porum and graduated from Porum High School in 1966. Donna continued her education at Connors State College and later earned her bachelor's degree from East Central University in Ada.
On December 29, 1973, Donna married Johnny Wayne Weeks. They shared more than 42 years of marriage until Johnny preceded her in death on April 10, 2016.
Donna devoted her life to education, beginning her teaching career at Crowder High School, where she taught for two years. She then spent the remainder of her career teaching business classes at Canadian High School, where she also served as the yearbook sponsor. Donna retired from teaching in 2011, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to her students and community.
She was a faithful member of the Canadian Church of Christ for many years.
Donna enjoyed working outdoors, especially trimming trees and mowing her lawn on her beloved Bad Boy mower. She loved cooking for her family and friends and was known for being quite discerning when it came to others' cooking. Above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Donna never missed a sporting event or school activity they participated in and enjoyed attending Canadian school basketball games.
Donna was known for being straightforward and matter-of-fact, always telling it like it was. Her honesty, strength, and love for her family will be deeply missed.

Weeks; brothers, Van Bass, Bertas Bass, Marcus Bass, Earl Bass, Murl Bass, and Aubrey Bass; sisters, Mary Simpkins, Dorine Stepp, Jane Bass, and Clara Edith Burnett; father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.D.
