Donna Jean Weisnicht, age 83, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in Shawano. Donna was born in Shawano on April 11, 1939, to the late Clifford and Marion (McMurray) Krause, Sr. On October 28, 1957, Donna was united in marriage to Willis F. "Huntz" Weisnicht. The couple was truly in love, and they celebrated 63 wonderful years of marriage together before his passing in 2020. Donna was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano, and she had a very strong faith. In her free time, she enjoyed taking walks, taking rides, watching the Brewers and Packers, attending her grandchildren's events, and spending time with her beloved pets. She and Huntz also enjoyed bowling and golfing in their younger years.
Donna is survived by her children, Terri (Jay) Rankin, Randall (Kim) Weisnicht, Brenda (Donny) Anker, Brad (Sandy) Weisnicht and Laurie (John) Maule; 14 grandchildren, Tyler (Shannon) Rankin, Jarrod Rankin, Kailee (Chris) Hutchcraft, Bryant (fiancé Mercedes) Rankin, Natasha (Brian) Chapman, Austin (significant other, Crystal) Weisnicht, Cody (Susy) Weisnicht, Clinton (Juliet) Anker, Aaron (Tanya) Anker, Dane (fiancé Morgan) Anker, Ryan (Courtney) Weisnicht, Allison (significant other, Jonathon) Weisnicht, Morgan (Mathew) Maley, and Bryce Maule; 26 great-granchildren with two more on the way; and siblings, Robert (Jean) Krause, Shirley Sorenson, Mary Ann "Nicki" (Keith "Buck") Moesch, Sharon (Mike) Passon and Vicki (Dave) Felkowski. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Clifford Krause, Jr.
A funeral service for Donna will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Andrew Zobel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
