Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville ChapelDonna Lynn Zelch, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Donna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She brought laughter and life to everyone she met. She enjoyed spending time hosting Bunco and entertaining family and friends. Donna was an immaculate homemaker and made sure her home was decorated for every holiday and occasion. She was a wonderful cook and always made sure to have enough for everyone. Donna enjoyed spending time away at the casino. Donna enjoyed singing and karaoke and was a talented poet. She stood with the Kentucky Patriot Guard as well as the Toys for Tots motorcycle runs. Donna had a special Christmas tradition of making fudge with her son, Josh. She loved to watch old TV shows and movie classics with her family. Most importantly, Donna cherished her family and the everlasting memories they made. She was a devoted follower of Shepherd's Chapel. Donna will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
She was born on November 28, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky to Donnell and Mamie (Harshfield) Geary. She is preceded in death by her father, Donnell Geary; mother, Mamie Quinton; beloved granddaughter, Haley Hines; and great friend, Tommy Blevins.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Charles Zelch; children, Amanda Bell, Joshua Bolton, Keisha Hurst; grandchildren, William Riddle, Andrew Riddle, Jasmine Riddle, Cassie Reilly; sisters, Janet Cunningham, Sheryl Payne; several nieces and nephews that loved her; best friend of 49 years, Kim Clark; beloved pet, Rocky; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 28, 2025 (Donna's actual birthday) from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Visitation will resume on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Her funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
