Donnie was the eldest son of the late Harold Edward Massey and Mary Ann Massey. He will be missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Judy Massey; three children, Terry Batchelor (Ken), Donnie Massey Jr. (Rendy), and Tracy Massey (Kristi); ten grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Justin Massey (Kelli), Donna Leonard (Cole), Andrew Batchelor, Whitley Moore (Haylie), Jamie Hubbard (Cord), Tyler Massey, Lilly Massey, Zaylee Massey, and Maggie; seven great-grandchildren, EmmaLee Massey, Cameron Massey, Celine Massey, Casey Massey, Waylon Hubbard, Cooper Hubbard, and BrantLee Leonard; seven sisters, Lib Bradshaw, Kathy Phillips, JoAnn Massey, Peggy Bradford, Phyllis Starling, Sandra Erickson, and Betty Overfield; brother, Jimmy Massey; and many nieces and nephews that will miss him.
Donnie attended Princeton High School, the class of 1969. He had a love for automotives and made his career in that industry. He retired from K-Mart's Service Center after 22 years of service.
Donnie enjoyed racing. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and the thrill of drag-racing his beloved Midnight Bandit, a 1969 Plymouth GTX. Donnie loved spending time with friends and family.
The family will receive friends 5-7:00 PM Wednesday at Harrell's Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at 2:00 PM Thursday August 21, 2025 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel with reverend Donald Ray Massey officiating.
