Donnie Gene 'DJ' Phillips, Jr., 43, of Fort Gibson was born November 25, 1980 in Muskogee to Donnie Gene Sr. and Linda (Simmons) Robertson and passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Muskogee.
DJ grew up in Muskogee and Tahlequah where he attended school. He started his career as a general laborer and worked in many fields. DJ enjoyed working on vehicles and could fix most anything. He loved to wet a hook and set up camp whenever he had the opportunity. His passion in life was his family, spending as much quality time with them as he could. Unconditional love was what he gave and received the same. DJ may be gone for now but will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda (Mandy) Phillips; dad, Donnie Gene Phillips, Sr; step-mother, Patricia Leann Phillips; grandmother, Doris Jones; and nephew, Anthony Godfrey, Jr.
DJ is lovingly survived by his step-brother, Chuck Jones of Fort Gibson; brothers, Donald Phillips of Fort Gibson and Gerald Edington of Missouri, step-brother, Tom Jones of Tahlequah; sister, Jennifer Kincaid of Texas; daughters, Haley Phillips of Branson, MO; Dashawnda Phillips of Tahlequah; and Serenity Phillips of Fort Gibson; sons, Brandon and Wyatt Phillips of Missouri; mother, Linda Robertson of Muskogee; step-sister, Michelle Hibbert of Fort Gibson; cousins, Christal Wilkens of Muskogee and Joseph Delong of Missouri; aunt, Brenda Toney of Muskogee; extended family and many friends.
A memorial service celebrating Donnie's life is scheduled for 2PM Friday, March 1, 2024 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with Brother Justin Kinman and DJ's family officiating.
