Dora May Charlick (née Briggs) of Brighton, MI, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born in Fowlerville, MI on November 23, 1936 to the late John and Helen Briggs.
On June 25, 1955, Dora May married her beloved husband, Richard, with whom she shared 68 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they raised four children and were blessed with 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to their lives.
She was also a devoted member of West Highland Baptist Church in Milford, Michigan, where her faith and compassion touched the lives of many.
Devoted wife of 68 years to the late Richard, Dora May is survived by her children, Mark (Vivian) Charlick, Karen (Kirk) Moore, Todd (Lisa) Charlick and Beth (Rich) Parker; grandchildren, Micah (Danielle) Charlick, Luke (Megan) Moore, Morgan (Kurtis) Harrington, Amanda (Steve) Lyman, Travis (Monica) Charlick, Zachariah Minor and Andrew (Danielle) Minor; great grandchildren, Marleigh, River, Phoebe, Barrett, Elijah, Hannah, Addie, Emersyn, Bryce, Clara, Harper, AJ, Rosie, Grace, Adeline and Larkin. She is also survived by many extended family and dear friends.
Dora May is preceded in death by her grandsons, Brad Minor and Marcus Charlick.
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton, MI 48116 on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held at West Highland Baptist Church, 1116 S. Hickory Ridge Rd., Milford, MI 48380 on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Gathering to begin at the church at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at West Highland Cemetery.
Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider making a contribution in Dora May's honor to Health Teams International or West Highland Christian Academy.
