Mrs. Dora McKoon Floyd

Mrs. Dora Lee Powell McKoon Floyd, age 88, of Shelbyville, passed away March 28, 2024, at her home, under the loving care and comfort of her family and Hospice Compassus.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday April 1, 2024, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Joe Hudson will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors 10 AM until service time Monday at the funeral home.
She was born October 31, 1935, in Charleston, South Carolina. She was one of eleven children born to the late David Means Powell and Lola Leona Blackwell Powell. She was in the laundromat business for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, C.W. McKoon; brothers and sisters, David Powell, Marie Renner, Jeanette Mizzell, Robert Powell, Norman Powell, and Diane Foley.
Survivors include her husband, William David Floyd, of Shelbyville; children, Mike (Donna) McKoon, of Bell Buckle, Archie (Debbie) McKoon and Rodney (Patricia) McKoon, both of Shelbyville; step daughter, Angie Butler; sisters, Bonnie Conley, of Ohio, Evelyne Garrett, of North Carolina, and Linda Burrelli, of Ohio; grandchildren, April Lemmons, David McKoon, Matt Burks, Scott McKoon, Sammie McKoon, Phillip McKoon, Christopher Short, and Tabitha Freeman; seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
