Doran E. "Bud" Laming

Doran "Bud" Laming, age 69 of Port Huron Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday – December 21, 2024. He was born on March 17, 1955 in Detroit to the late Earl and Mae Laming.
Bud was a 1973 graduate of Port Huron High School. He worked as a Production Scheduler at Eugene Welding, when he retired in 2015.
Bud enjoyed softball, he played short stop for Coca Cola for many years and was voted MVP in Class A Division in 1990. He also played on the Jowett Funeral Home State Championship Team. After, he became an avid golfer and was a member of the Elks Lodge 343 for 29 years.
He was always a listening ear to his family and friends. He was a very humble man. Bud enjoyed traveling, spending his winters in Florida and watching his grandkids play sports.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Debra, daughter, Heather (Jordan) Chrzanowski, two grandchildren; Alyssa Loxton and Brayden Chrzanowski, who were the joy of his life. Along with his sister, Linda (Michael) McLaughlin of Washington, nephews; Michael McLaughlin and Patrick (Seher) McLaughlin, and their daughter, Rain and a sister-in-law, Brenda Wolff.
Bud was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Virginia Wolff.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday - January 3, 2025 in the Jowett Funeral Home Reception Center from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with a time of sharing at 1:30pm.
