Mrs. Doris Faye Cagle, age 79, of Lindale, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Cagle was born in Rome, Georgia on August 22, 1945, daughter of the late Archie John 'A.J.' Wheeler and the late Mildred Carpenter Wheeler. She was also preceded in death by her precious daughter, Kristi Cagle, and her brothers, Richard T. Wheeler and John Robert Wheeler. Doris was a longtime member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Laboratory Technician at Polk General Hospital for 29 years, and she was also a member of the Phlebotomist Association of Georgia.

Doris was an Officer at the American Legion Post # 86 Auxiliary for numerous years, where she worked diligently, and loved every minute of it. She loved everyone unconditionally, if you knew her, you knew that you were loved by her. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to all, she will be missed greatly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Buddy Douglas Cagle; several nieces and nephews who were all very special to her and she loved dearly; her special friends, Angela and Mike Casey and Jim and Gail Gates.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 12:00pm, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, with Mike Casey speaking, interment will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 10:00am until the hour of service.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel on Monday by 11:30am, and include: Mike Casey, Chris Jones, Dewayne Romine, Jimmy Mazurek, Terry Jordan, and Bill Gates.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Doris Faye Cagle.
