Doris "Dot" Davis

Mrs. Doris Louise "Dot" Davis, age 96, passed away March 4, 2026. She was born July 22, 1929 in Tallapoosa, GA to the late Jesse and Hattie Cross Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Davis; sister, Millie McKenzie; and brothers, Hoyt, Sydney, Len, Junior, Kenneth, and Charlie Williams.

Doris Davis, affectionately known as Mama to many- standard facts - Our Mama Dot was a strong, independent, and tenacious lady who loved her family, her garden, and her hometown.

May we treasure our loved ones and remember our pasts just as she did.

Ms. Dot is survived by her daughter and son in law, Benita and Chris Davis, of Vestavia Hills, AL; grandchildren, Jake Davis and Taylor Davis; and a host of extended relatives.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Pastor Janet Piper officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Paul Williams, Edward Williams, Nick Williams, Mark Pitts, and Winford Casey. John Causey will serve as an honorary pallbearer. A private burial will follow the funeral service.

Her family will receive friends Saturday, March 7th in the Dogwood Chapel beginning at 1:00PM.
