Doris “Claudette” Spence passed away peacefully at her home on September 18, 2025, surrounded by her family and love.
Claudette was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt. A retired educator, she dedicated her life to guiding and inspiring others. She loved fiercely, especially when it came to her grandchildren, with whom she shared countless cherished moments.
Her warmth, strength, and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Judy Bryant and Barb Cook. Doris is survived by her beloved husband, Carl Michael Spence; her sons, David (Mary Jones) Davis and Michael Spence; her grandchildren, Zachary, Cody, and Hunter Davis; her great-grandchildren, Addi and Jefferson; as well as her sister, Carolyn Taylor, and brothers, James Wray and David Wray. Doris leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
