Albany, NY - Doris P. Tavernia, 63, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 6, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1961 in Spartanburg, SC to the late James W. Potter and Mary I McGlothan. Doris was a CNA for Bayada Home Health Care in Seneca, SC. She enjoyed spending time outside in nature and watching the animals, she also loved spending time with family and friends. Doris was predeceased by her ex husband Randy Tavernia, her son Randy Tavernia Jr, her daughter Jamie Tavernia, her grandson Bradley Tavernia, her sister Becky Potter, her brother Charles McGlothan, and her sister Linda Parker.

Doris is survived by her children, Dawn Greene (Jeffery Greene), and Jennifer Tavernia; her grandchildren, Bridget Smith (Kennith Smith), Shawn Tavernia, Elisabeth Tavernia, Jazmine Evins, Eric Gray Jr, Lynal Gray, Cirena Morris, and Jadica Morris; her great grandchildren Iman Gray and Zaidyn Cobb; her siblings,James Potter(Vickie Potter), ZoAnn Hall(Joey Hall), and Lucy Yelton(Jeff Yelton); and many nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes, Doris has been privately cremated. Arrangements by Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Albany. Condolences can be posted at danielkeenanfuneralhome.com.
