Born on December 14, 1944, Doris grew up in Nashville, TN, with solid family values anchored in the word of God.
Doris excelled academically in high school, and eventually earned a Bachelor of Science-Sociology from Tennessee State University in 1967. She married her love, Thaddaeus (Joe), and they shared 60 years of beautiful, loving marriage. They raised three children: Thaddaeus IV, Lisa, and Fredrick, and they became adoring grandparents to Thaddaeus V, Tyler, Solomon, Silas, and Serenity Joi and great-grandparents to Mariah.
Professionally, Doris had a distinguished career in social services, marked by her integrity and advocacy for those she served and those under her care. Additionally, she dedicated her time to her church, developing youth programs that positively impacted her community.
Doris loved to express herself through poetry and public speaking, sharing her life experiences and personality with others to motivate and inspire.
Doris is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and friends.
Doris' legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched, the respect she garnered, and the values she upheld.
Doris will be deeply missed and forever cherished...

Too the Wilson family, I share my deepest sympathy to the family. My heart is heavy sharing in your loss. Even though it has been a while since we have spoken I always thought of her as a friend. What I love most about her is she always made me laugh what I am sure she is doing with the angels in heaven now. Family you are in my prayers.
