Dorothy L. Telthorst, nee Kemper, 94, returned home on January 5, 2023. Born in 1928, Dorothy was a lifelong St. Louisan. She met the love of her life, Don Telthorst, at Blow Elementary School and the two were married in 1948. Don preceded her, passing away in 1984. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her family as a homemaker extraordinaire, magnificent cook, and family caregiver. Among her many talents, her personal touches at Christmas will be sorely missed. Left to mourn are her children, Donna Telthorst Karg and Dr. Dean F. Telthorst, both of St. Louis County and her loving sister, Ruth Ann (Frank) Palazzolo of Centralia, IL. Dorothy was adored as "Bop Bop" to her grandchildren, Courtney (Aaron) Kaiser, Kim Leffert, Zach Telthorst and Connor (Beth) Telthorst. Bop Bop also leaves behind three beautiful great-grandchildren Gavin, Gabriel and Emma Kate as well as many beloved relatives and dear friends.
Memorials are appreciated in lieu of flowers to the American Diabetes Association.
Memorial Services will be at 11am on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 10126 East Watson Rd. St. Louis, MO 63126, with visitation beginning an hour prior.
