Dorothy "Dot" Andreu, born December 11th, 1928, passed away peacefully on May 13th, 2025 at the age of 96. She lived a long, beautiful life exuding strength, gentleness and kindness - providing a safe haven for everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
Dorothy's greatest joy in life was her family. She was Mom to her children Carolyn Andreu, Alan Andreu (Kelly) and Granny Dot to Jordan Sherman (Evan), Riley Andreu, Kenlee Andreu, Jameson Sherman and Lincoln Sherman. Friends of the family lovingly saw her as their "Momma Dot". She cherished every moment spent with them.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband Mills Durrance Andreu, parents Bisby "Shorty" and Ola Williams, brothers Felton and Leo Williams, sister Dinky Cribbs.
She was a homemaker prior to losing her husband in 1975. For over 30 years she worked as the office receptionist for Dr. James Hoover, DDS (and always made sure her grandkids brushed and flossed daily).
Dot read her bible daily and prayed constantly for her family. She also enjoyed reading, bird watching, flowers, traveling, cooking and baking, and watching sunsets. She made birthdays and holidays extra special and never forgot to send a card. Her family will think of her every time we see a red bird or a beautiful butterfly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Lifepoint Church, 5140 Bailey Road, Mulberry Florida on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 2:30 PM.
