Dorothy Cade, 85, of Chandler, passed away on May 4, 2025, in Chandler. Services will be announced at a later date.
Dorothy Marie (Stinecipher) Cade was born on February 8, 1940, in Troup, Texas, to Isaac Franklin Stinecipher and Oma Juanita (Dowdy) Stinecipher. She graduated from Tyler High School and had a diverse career, working for the United States Postal Service and Delta Drilling, before becoming the owner and operator of a gift shop in Chandler. Dorothy was a member of the Green Acres Baptist Church and was involved in the choir there. Dorothy was passionate about sewing, gardening, and traveling. Known for her strong work ethic and determination, she genuinely enjoyed helping others. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Jack Luster Cade; her siblings, Bill Stinecipher, David Stinecipher, Louise Tinsley, Patti Julian, and Doyle Stinecipher.
Survivors include her children, Bess Martin of Dallas and Conley Cade and wife Ronda of Chandler; her siblings, Joe Stinecipher of Tyler and Sue Bishop of Tyler; her grandchildren, Caleb Cade, Cody Cade, Emma Cade, and McKenna Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chandler Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 1822, Chandler, Texas 75758, or, Heart to Heart Hospice, 7925 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 1140, Tyler, Texas 75703.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
