DOROTHY MAE COLER

Dorothy Mae Coler, age 84, transitioned to her heavenly home at West Jefferson Medical Center on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Dorothy was a retired CNA. She was a faithful member and deaconess of Macedonia Baptist Church in Marrero, LA. Loving mother of Houston (Terese), Patrick (Jean), and Troy Broglin. Grandmother of the late Arsenio Turk. Beloved daughter of the late Rev. Freddie Coler, Sr. and Bessie Coler. Loving sister of Barbara C. Keller and the late Freddie Coler, Jr. Edward Coler, Barbara N. Dixon, and Bessie Skidmore. Also cherishing her memories are 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Macedonia Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1219 Cohen Street, Marrero, LA on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Albert Mickel, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
