Dorothy Jean (Sidle) Kreger-Craig, age 92 of Big Prairie Ohio, passed away on Sunday, Aug 17, 2025, peacefully at the home of her son. She was born at home on a farm near Springville, Ohio.

She was the first born of a set of twins to Wave Juniata (Eberhart) and William Forest Sidle on Sunday, July 16, 1933.

She attended the one-room grade school at People's College #7 and was a 1951graduate of Shreve High School.

On July 17, 1954, she married Gene Otto Kreger at St. Mary's in Wooster, Ohio and together they raised their four children, before his untimely death March 5, 1986.

Dorothy then married John Wm Craig on July 16, 1988, he passed away on Jan 16, 2018, then five days later she lost her beloved twin brother, Doyle Dean Sidle on Jan 21, 2018.

Following graduation, she had secretarial jobs, then lovingly raised her four children. She then spent many years selling clothing and jewelry through Home Party Plans. She also drove a school bus for Triway Local School.

She was a sweet caring Christian lady, pianist, soloist and volunteered at many area nursing homes, sharing her talents and her garden of cut flowers with area businesses, family and friends.

She also enjoyed riding her bicycle at the Holmes County Trail.

She is survived by three children: Scott (Denise) Kreger, Angela Fox, Brad ( Shauna) Kreger, four grandchildren: Pam Kreger, Tiffany Shamp, Cari (Haroon)Thomas, Cameron (Lindsey) Orr, four great-grandchildren: Dominick Kreger, Aria and Leah Orr, and Julian Thomas. Also survived by a sister-in­-law Caroline Sidle.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Edison (Nancy) Sidle and Doyle Sidle; sister LaVonne (Gerald) Hider; a nephew Doug, a niece Sheryl. Also preceded in death by her first-born son, Mark Paul Kreger on June 21, 1974.

It is Dorothy's wish that there be no services and interment will take place at Ripley Cemetery in Big Prairie, Ohio at the convenience of the family.

A special thank you to her long-time caregiver, Deede, for her assistance, allowing her to remain at home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Ohio's Hospice Life Care, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691 for their special care and kind staff.
