Dorothy Elder Obituary
Dorothy Ann Stewart Elder was born in Whiteville, Tennessee on July 26, 1932, the daughter of Frank Stewart and Mary Helen Morris Stewart.
She later married Jim “Sonny” Elder and worked as a Counselor for Lakeside Behavioral for over 40 years.
Mrs. Elder departed this life on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Saint Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee at the age of 93.
She is survived by her daughter, Terrie Kuhn (Tommy); her brother, Jimmy Stewart; Grandchildren, Cameron Elder (Misty) and Adyn Kuhn; and Great-Grandchildren, Alyssa and Kensley Elder.
Mrs. Elder was preceded in death by her husband, Jim “Sonny” Elder and several siblings.
Graveside services for Mrs. Elder will be Monday, February 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Burrows Cemetery, 1890 Burrow Cemetery Road, Arlington, Tennessee, with Rev. Mike Hollaway officiating.
