Dorothy (Dot) Elizabeth Eustace, 101, of Kinsley KS, died Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Medicalodges, Kinsley. Dot was born August 26, 1923, in Enid OK, to Homa and Ethel (Haynes) Glover. 

 She met Emmett Elie Eustace at a dance when he was training at Enid Army Air Corps base. They were married June 3, 1942. They moved to Tampa FL, where Emmett was a gun/camera instructor for five years. After his discharge, they moved to Amarillo TX, where Dot was the secretary of the executive director of the western line of Santa Fe Railroad until she retired. After retirement, they traveled the United States extensively in a motorhome. They lived in Dallas TX, and Whitney TX. After Emmett’s death, she moved to Oak Manor, Kinsley KS. Then in 2017, she moved to Medicalodges.

 Dot was known for her big smile. She didn’t know a stranger. She loved the color red; red lipstick, fingernail polish, clothes, etc. and chocolate. She made the best peanut butter cookies, fudge and peanut brittle. She loved playing games with her grandkids and most of all she loved Jesus. She taught bible studies and was active in her faith all of her life. 

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett, parents, siblings, Juanita, Homa Jr, Jessie Earl, Ted and Betty Jo (BJ).

 She is survived by daughter Barbara Elyse Short and husband Steve, of Kyle TX, and son, Brad Eustace and wife Jeanne, of Kinsley KS. Other survivors include grandchildren Renee Hammonds, Rebecca Giello and husband Scott, Robyn Short and husband Scott Misthnick, Cori Butler and husband Jon, Ryan Eustace and wife Taryn, Garrett Eustace and wife Staci. Great grandchildren Brittney, Brandon, Athena, Dre, Graci (Shane), Millie, Pierce, Kirstyn (Chad), Whitten, Kendall, Truett, Henley and Everly. Great-great grandchildren Tryston and Kylee. Step grandchildren Josh Schmitt and wife Beth, Jacob Schmitt, Danielle Schmitt and husband Derek Noll. Step great grandchildren Tysen, Wesley, Grant and Emma.

 Funeral service will be at McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley KS, Wednesday, January 15, at 10:00 am. Graveside service will be at Memory Gardens, 14200 Texas Plains Trl, Amarillo TX, Friday, January 17, time 11:00 am. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice of the Prairie or Medicalodges activity fund, Kinsley, for the residents, both in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, 623 Marsh Ave, Kinsley KS 67547.
