Dorothy {Dottie} Finneran passed away peacefully on September 9th in the early morning. Dottie was wife to James Finneran {Jimmy} and daughter to her late mom Betty Kiss {Mamie}.
Dottie leaves behind a daughter Barbara Ziemba, husband Paul, whom she lived with in Leland, NC. Daughter Tara Shapiro, husband Craig. Son, Brian Finneran. Dottie had eight grandchildren Rory, Sean, Chris O'Brien. Michael, Cody, Shapiro. Casey Finneran, wife Ashley, Kristian Kristan, husband Dan and Isabelle Finneran. She also had five great grandchildren Asher, baby Girl of the Kristan family soon to be born. Casey Jr. Kayleigh, Connor Finneran. Dottie lived a full and beautiful life living in Tappan NY for over 30 years.
She relocated to North Carolina with her daughter Barbara and met many new friends. She was a proud Member of the Tappan Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary for over 30yrs. Member of Sacred Heart Church, Rosary Society. Dottie enjoyed her Bowling teams, yard sales, Red Hatters and she loved to throw parties and entertain family and friends. Over the many years she enjoyed many cherished lifetime friendships. Dottie loved her NY Yankees, Uno card games, Poker games, reading books and her nightly Wheel of fortune and Jeopardy with the family. Most loved where the people in her life, she always remembered to send greetings cards letting them know she was thinking of them.
Dottie is at peace with Our Lord Lam. 3:31-32 "For the Lord will not cast off forever. Though He causes grief. Yet He will show compassion according to the multitude of His
mercies."
