Dorothy Mae Joslin

Dorothy Mae Joslin, 68, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 16, 2015 at her home. Born on November 17, 1946 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Stafford Abare. Dorothy moved to Boston, MA, where she lived for several years until returning to the local area in 1986. Dorothy was employed with Price Chopper Supermarkets and later Hannaford Supermarkets for many years until her retirement. She also volunteered at Bethesda House of Schenectady for several years. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her longtime companion, Raffaele Califano, who passed away in 2013. Survivors include her three children, John (Dorothy) Joslin of S. Easton, MA, Jennifer (Ed Jr.) Munger of Schenectady and George (Pam) Joslin of S. Easton, MA; two grandsons, Jake and Geoffrey Nash; four sisters, Constance Lezette, Carol Mcintyre, Anne Bowie and Donna Brucculeri; a brother, Charles Abare; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady.
