Dorothy Kornack, age 81, of Carrollton, Il. and formerly of Palmyra, Il. died April 25, 2025 at her residence.
She was born July 2, 1943 in Palmyra, Il. daughter of the late Lowell and Lily Belle Nix Hughes.
Surviving are her children, Patricia Creasy of Charleston, Mo., Dale Kelley (Mary) of Girard, Il., and Sandra Kinsella (Michael) of Carrollton, Il.; seven grandchildren, Terra, Jeremy, Jason, David, Amber, Daniel, and A.J.; several great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Dunse; and siblings, Bill Hughes, Betty Roberts, and Janice Clayton.
Dorothy was a past employee at Dicky John in Auburn, Il. She enjoyed camping and fishing, crafting and flea markets.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday (April 30, 2025) at Stults-Neece Chapel in Palmyra, Il. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association and sent to Stults-Neece Chapel, 349 Tanner St, Waverly, Il. 62692. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.airsman-hires.com.
