Dorothy G. Stewart, 93, of Hoxie, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Lawrence Hall Nursing and Rehab in Walnut Ridge. She was born June 11, 1931, in Perry, Oklahoma to the late J.C. and Dollie (Ashlock) Wilson. She was a homemaker and a self-employed house cleaner during her life. Dorothy was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Pocahontas. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Robert Stewart; and brother, J.D. Wilson.
She is survived by her children, Robert Simmons of Walnut Ridge, Randy Simmons (Gina) of Huntley, Illinois, and Melissa Holt (James) of Hoxie; siblings, Martha West of Loves Park, Illinois, Beverly Kirby of Machesney Park, Illinois, Frank Wilson (Judy) of Walnut Ridge, Janette Fogle (Tom) of Pocahontas, Larry Wilson (Starr) of Rockford, Illinois, Carolyn Pitterle of Loves Park, Illinois, and Shirley Johnson of Pocahontas, and; grandchildren, Amy, Brandon, Roshell, Christina, Dollie Shadow Marie, Sean, Westley, Lance, Dylan, Trey, Jordan, Madison, Jericho, Sayden, and Alexis; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Pocahontas. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 P.M. with Bro. Jerry Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
