Dorothy Yeager

Dorothy R. (Boehmler) Yeager, 86, passed away Wednesday morning, November 1, 2023, at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, PA, where she resided for the last year and a half. She and her husband, John Yeager, would have observed their 63rd wedding anniversary on November 19th of this year. Residents of Harleysville, PA, they had formerly resided in Dallas, PA, and were former long-time residents of Benton, PA.
Born December 14, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late George C. Boehmler, Sr. and Elsie (Fryer) Boehmler. She grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and was a 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School. She attended Frankford School of Nursing and began her career as a registered nurse. She oversaw the emergency room at Frankford Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Yeager was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Philadelphia, PA, and then at Benton Bible Baptist Church. She later attended Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Harleysville, PA. She was the ultimate caregiver, always caring both physically and emotionally for her family, friends and neighbors. Her hobbies included crafts and baking. She was well-known for her delicious cheesecake which has never been nor will likely ever be duplicated.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Christa Yeager-Palazzo and her husband, Joseph, of Harleysville, PA; a son, Craig Yeager and his wife, Lisa, of Tampa, FL; a granddaughter, Samantha Kathleen Yeager; and four great grandchildren, Braelyn Grace, McKaelyn Raine, Kamryn Navonia and Isaiah Alexander. She is also survived by a brother, George C. Boehmler, Jr.; and two nephews, Erick and Joel Boehmler. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Carol Boehmler.
Services will be private. Arrangements are by the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. of Franconia Township, PA.
