Bonni DiRenzi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home on Dec. 10, 2024.
Bonni Anne Carr DiRenzi, a vibrant and loving woman, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the age of 57. She was the cherished wife of Joseph DiRenzi and the adored mother of Breana and Reece DiRenzi.
Born and raised in South Jersey, Bonni was the daughter of Robert Carr Sr. and the late Vicki Carr. She graduated from Audubon High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Rutgers University.
Bonni's passions were many. She was a dedicated genealogist, tracing her family history back to the 1600s. She was also a history buff and an avid tennis player. Bonni was captivated by the true crime stories on the ID channel. Bonni found joy in the simple things, like taking walks with her beloved dog, Niko, and spending time with loved ones. She had a contagious laugh, beautiful smile, and a positive spirit that brightened every room she entered.
In 2012, Bonni faced a courageous battle with breast cancer. Through research and testing, she discovered she carried the BRCA2 gene mutation. She fought again in 2019, and in October 2024, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Despite the challenges, Bonni remained strong, positive, and brave. She passed away surrounded by her loving family.
In addition to her husband and children, Bonni is survived by her father, Robert Carr Sr.; her siblings, Robert Carr Jr. and Heather Carr Bergan; her brother-in-law, Ellsworth Bergan; her nephew, Cole Bergan; her niece, Kira Bergan; and extended family.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Medicine Basser Center for BRCA research and support in Bonni's name: here
