Doug Milo

Douglas "Doug" Milo, of Bethel Park, passed away at age 73 on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
Doug was the beloved husband of nearly 50 years to Linda (Brown) Milo; loving father of Mark Douglas Milo, wife Cari Milo, and daughter Samantha Jackson; and Bryan James Milo and wife Dr. Lindsey Albracht; son of Duska "Diana" (Zelich) Milo and the late Branko "Bruce" Milo; brother of Lydia Mladenovic and husband Nick Mladenovic; uncle of Stevan and Dushan Mladenovic, Lindsey Kurtz, Lauren Szafran, and Dean Brown; brother-in-law of Dr. Lawrence Brown; son-in-law of the late Ivan and Geraldine Brown; grandson of the late Very Reverend Pavle and Protinica Milica (Sekulich) Zelich.
Doug was born outside Munich, Germany on July 3, 1948. He graduated from Steubenville High School in 1966 and The Ohio State University in 1971. Doug worked for Ashland Oil from 1971 to 1985 and for Cardinal Health from 1985 until his retirement in 2016. He was passionate about his work and made many lifelong friends at his jobs.
Doug loved sports, and was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pitt Panthers. One of his favorite times of the year was Memorial Day Weekend, where he attended the Indianapolis 500 for over 40 years with his many friends and family. Doug coached several of his sons' sports teams in Bethel Park and loved working with young athletes.
Most mornings Doug would wake up and take a long walk with his family. He loved walking on the Montour Trail in Bethel Park, Fort DeSoto Beach in St. Petersburg, FL and in New York City. He was proud of his Serbian heritage and the life his family built in America after fleeing Yugoslavia during World War II. Doug will be deeply missed by family, friends and co-workers.

Friends and family welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211, on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 4 - 8 p.m. Viewing will continue Tuesday at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church, 528 N. 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952. Luncheon to follow immediately after church. Private burial on Wednesday in Arcanum, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church (address above) or to the Montour Trail, 304 Hickman St. Suite 3, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
