HENRY J. "HANK" MILO, a lifelong Woburn resident, died unexpectedly on January 15 at the age of seventy-eight.

Born in Stoneham and raised in Woburn, Hank was the son of the late Enrico Milo and Josephine P. (Tumbarello) Milo. He was a graduate of Woburn Memorial High School, Class of 1966.

Hank met the love of his life and best friend, Betty Jean (Scott), at the Woburn Bowladrome. They were married in January of 1966 and spent nearly 60 wonderful years together. Together they raised their three children in Woburn, building a life centered around family, love, and tradition.

Hank began his career at Polaroid, where he worked for 39 years as an engineering manager. He later continued his career with UTI and then for the Town of Newton before retiring.

Family was always Hank's top priority, and he was known for always putting their needs first. One of his greatest joys was the annual family camping trips to Rumney, New Hampshire, where he and his family returned to the same campground and site for over ten years, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

For many years, Hank was a dedicated Pop Warner Football coach and took great pride in the teams he coached. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage, where he could often be found working on his beloved Firebird, a car he was incredibly proud of and truly loved. Hank was also well known for making his famous homemade raviolis, a family tradition that will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.

Hank shared an especially close and playful bond with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved fooling around with them, always making them laugh with his jokes, humor, and gentle mischief. He was one of their biggest supporters, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer them on, encourage them, or simply spend time together. To them, he was not only "Grumpy," but also a constant source of love, laughter, and unwavering support.

Hank was the cherished father of Corinne Dwyer and her husband, Shawn, of Londonderry, NH; Brian Milo and his wife, Elaine, of Billerica; and Janinne Nocco and her husband, Steven, of Tyngsboro. He was the dear brother of Joanne M. Downing and her husband, Richard, of Woburn. He was the adored "Grumpy" of six loving grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Above all, Hank was a devoted family man who deeply loved those around him and will be forever missed.
