Born in Paterson, NJ, he lived in Manchester, NJ for 10 years before moving to Toms River 45 years ago.
Doug proudly served in the UInited States Army, having been stationed in Japan from 1959- 1962.
Doug was a Control Room Supervisor for Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant, Lacey, NJ for many years before his retirement during which he spent his time travelling with his wife of 58 years, Rosemary.
Doug is survived by his wife, Rosemary (nee Borges), his three children Krystyna Hubbard of Toms River, Douglas J. Van Blarcom of Orange County, CA and Robin L. Barnett of Jackson, NJ, and four grandchildren Jillian Hubbard, Lucas Barnett, Bailey Van Blarcom and Zachary Van Blarcom.
A memorial gathering will be offered Saturday, May 18, 2024 2:00pm – 4:00pm with a funeral service to be offered at 3:15pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River.
