Douglas Deeming Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc. - Canandaigua on Mar. 8, 2024.
Rochester - Douglas Andrew Deeming, age 53, passed away in the compassionate care of the Hospeace House, Naples, NY, on March 7, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Andrew has rejoined his loving parents, William "Bruce" Deeming and Mary "Lue" Deeming, who have been in Heaven for many years. He was loved and survived by his brother, Paul Deeming; sister, Drew Deeming Broderick; niece, Jillian Broderick; and cousins, Susan (Jim) Polos and Jean Horton.
Andrew was a self-taught artist who also enjoyed playing video games, bowling and all things sci-fi. One of his favorite jobs was Studio Manager for Jillian's Kanoodle Art, a paint your own pottery studio named after his niece.
He was chivalrous and had a kind demeanor. He was a dedicated son, sibling and friend. His sense of humor was intelligent, unique and quirky.
Paul and Drew were with him during the short months of his illness during which he demonstrated amazing bravery, and were by his side when he passed.
Although, only a resident of the Hospeace House for eight days, he was surrounded with kindness and compassion by the volunteers and staff. We will be forever grateful to these angels on earth.
His family has opted to celebrate his life in private and will continue to celebrate Andrew through acts of kindness. Please join his loved ones in making a donation to Hospeace House, 7824 Co. Rd. 33, Naples, NY 14512 or online at hospeacehouse.org. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.
