Victor – William H. Bartosch, age 95, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He is survived by five children, David (Donna) Bartosch, William (Gretchen) Bartosch, Diane (John) DeMartini, Jacqueline (Stephen) Casey and Kurt (Holly) Bartosch; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Cora Bartosch; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Donna Bartosch in 2006; and sister, Jeannette Bartosch.
Bill was born in Rochester and was the son of Herman and Cora (Bartels) Bartosch. He was a graduate of Edison Tech High School. Bill was a US Army Veteran and served in Korea from 1951-1953. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic with Local Union #46 in Rochester for 40 years, retiring in 1989. Bill and Donna were formerly of Canandaigua, where they raised their family.
He was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 256, Canandaigua. Bill enjoyed golfing and hunting. He and Donna loved spending their winters in Murrells Inlet, S.C. and their summers in Cape Vincent, N.Y.
Services are private. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington, DC, 20077. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.
