Douglas Arthur Eades

Douglas Arthur Eades, 82, of Ansted, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at his home.
Doug was a lifelong resident of Ansted, WV. He was a teacher and principal at Midland Trail High School as well as other schools. During his time as a pastor, Doug served many churches, including his home church of Ansted Baptist. He passionately loved his family and pets and enjoyed precious time with them, including his two brothers whom he was especially close to. Doug was married to his wife, Rebecca, for 57 years, sharing many happy moments as their family grew. The family is heartbroken over the loss of this precious man, but are rejoicing he is with his Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Inez Cole Eades, and a grandchild, Christian Blake.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Rebecca Dix Eades; daughter, Rachel (Ted) Eades-Gill; sons, Christopher (Angela) Eades, and Justin (Leah) Eades; brothers, Richard (Joyce) Eades, and Roger (Paula) Eades; grandchildren, Erin, Bowen, Brianna, Lane, Nathan, Allison, Ashley, Gage, Jayden, Gabriel, and Isabella.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, at Ansted Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Spurgeon officiating. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Chapel of Rest Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ansted Baptist Church.
