Age 71 of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Joan Marie (Anschuetz) Honsperger. Loving father of Sabrina (Bob) George, Mike (Debbie) Honsperger, and Kenny (Diana) Honsperger. Proud grandfather of Gwendolyn, Abigail, Bethany, Breanna, and Isabella. Also survived by his sister, Linda Honsperger; and brother, Chris (Laura) Honsperger. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Edward and Ruth Elaine (Gauger) Honsperger. Doug honorably served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and worked as a millwright for Edgewater Steel in Oakmont where he retired after many years of service. After his retirement, he enjoyed his time as a riverboat captain. Services will be private and are entrusted to the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC.
