Douglas W. Howe, 81, of Titusville, passed away Sunday morning July 27, 2025 at the Titusville Area Hospital.

Doug was born on October 28, 1943 in Warren, PA, a son of the late James Marion "Stub" Howe and Mildred "Midge" Whitten Howe.

Doug was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, class of 1961. Doug was married to Pauline Armstrong on March 26, 1976 in Erie.

Doug was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He entered the service on January 12, 1962 and was honorably discharged on December 4, 1964.

He had worked at the former Cytemp Specialty Steel Corp. from where he retired. Doug had also been employed at Joy Manufacturing in Franklin and for the VFW in Titusville.

Doug was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW in Titusville. He enjoyed boating, hunting, camping and the outdoors. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling with his wife.

Doug is survived by his wife Pauline of Titusville; two daughters, Kathy Weagraff and husband Jon of Columbia, SC and Karen Shoup and husband John of Titusville; a step-daughter, Theresa Lewis and husband Dallas of Pleasantville; a step-son, Tim Fish and wife Betsy Ann of Titusville; son-in-law, Randy Wescoat of Pleasantville; grandchildren, Tabatha Hvozdik and husband Jeff, Tia Weabey and husband Jason, Abelin Weagraff, John D. Shoup and wife Stevie, Casey Shoup and wife Katherine, Ben Lewis and wife Shylynn, Jeff Lewis and wife Samantha, Nicole Mellon and husband Josh, Nicholas Wescoat and wife Jacquelyn, Michelle Wescoat, Alisha Martin and fiancée Derek Schwab, Brooke Loney and husband Tylor, and Morgan Fish, who was Doug's caregiver for several years, and her companion Brandon Heller; 23 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Crisman of New Port Richie, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and an additional caregiver, Chris Armstrong.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Tammi Wescoat; a grandson, Michael Wescoat; a nephew, David Howe; and a brother, George "Pete" Howe.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Wednesday, July 30th from noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Cathy Mathos officiating.

Interment will be in Diamond Cemetery.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW 206 St. John Street Titusville, PA 16354 or to the charity of one's choice.
