Douglas Edward "Doug" Stover

Douglas "Doug" Edward Stover, 68, a resident of the Hillsboro community passed away on November 16, 2023 at his home.
Doug was born on August 9, 1955 in Vallejo, CA. He was the third of four children born to Robert and Kay (Lewis) Stover. He was raised in Vallejo until the age of fifteen when his family moved to Hillsboro. He attended Hillsboro High School and graduated with the Class of 1973. He later attended Clackamas Community College.
Doug met his future wife, Dawn Marie Steffen, while in college, following a short courtship they married on August 28, 1976 in Hillsboro. They made their home in Hillsboro until 1992 when they moved to their current home South of Hillsboro.
He was in the trucking industry all of his life. He began as a transportation broker almost 40 years ago.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, his family and family gatherings. He was an avid fisherman and had a fishing trip with his siblings to Alaska. He was a good slow dancer liked to go to the beach and worked on improving on his property
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dawn, his parents and two siblings, Jon Stover and Patricia Stover
He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Jocelyn and Troy Kujala of Beaverton, Robyn and John-David Krizan of Tigard, Joshua and Katie Stover of Hillsboro, two siblings, David and Kathi Stover of Surprise, AZ, Steve Stover of Hillsboro, and seven grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Braeden, Stella, Lucy, Molly and Joey.
