Doyle Wayne Pence

Doyle Wayne Pence, 82, of Selma, IN, passed away Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by love in his son's home. Wayne was born in Yorktown, IN, on December 20, 1942, a son of the late Noah and Robbie (Northcut) Pence. He was a 1961 graduate of Yorktown High School, formerly employed as a tool and die machinist for Muncie Metal Spinning and a member of the Masonic Lodge Post #229 in Muncie, IN. Wayne was a devoted and hardworking man, who was honest to a fault, loved working with his hands, often carrying 2 jobs to support his family and wouldn't have it any other way. He enjoyed building race car motors, racing sprint cars, tractor pulls, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Wayne is survived by his 2 children; Brook Pence (Susan), Jennifer Haney (Brad), 8 grandchildren: Kyla Norris (Cory), Melissa Gordon, Katie Fulk (Layne), Jake Haney (Cheyenne), Arie Pence, Sebastion Cooper (Brianna), Levi Pence, Taylor Pence, 4 great grandchildren: Makayla Powell, Kyliee Harman, Lilly Norris, Rory Norris, 2 sisters: Nell Reed, Jane Eldrige, 1 sister in law: Elaine Pence and 1 cousin: Mike Northcutt (Kathy). He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Pence, 2 brothers: Norman Pence and his wife Mary, Robert Pence, and 2 brothers in law: Newt Reed and Ben Eldrige. Services will be private at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Farmland Chapel.
