Dreme Davis, 77, of Edwards, IL, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at home.
Dreme was born on March 21, 1948, to Lloyd and Dolores "Doe" Norris in Peoria, IL. She married Max K. Davis on October 14, 1967 in Elmwood, IL. She attended Brimfield High School and studied Literature at Eastern Illinois University.
Dreme was a lifelong antique collector, a retired home health nurse, and she lovingly raised pedigree cats and exotic chickens. She was a passionate creator, advocate, ally, and dear friend to so many. She was a beacon of love, warmth, and unwavering support. Her infectious laugh and compassionate spirit touched everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make each person feel special, always offering a listening ear, a remarkable story, hilarious joke, or a witty quip. She has left such a lasting impact on us all.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Max; son, Shane Davis of Edwards, IL; daughters, Mandi (Eric) Gingras of Highland, MI and Carrie (Suze) Davis of Peoria, IL; seven grandchildren: Jessica Tomlinson, Skip Davis, Bryce Davis, Brodie Gingras, Brookelyn Tilton, Jason Gingras, and Parker Davis; and four great-grandchildren: Evy, Nora, Declan, and Zariah. She is also survived by two sisters, Judy Barnewolt-Jones of Washington Island, WI and Sheri (Kevin) Long of Pekin, IL; sister-in-law, Jeanette Norris of Brimfield, IL; and many dear cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dreme was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Doe; brother, Skip Norris; son, Brodie Davis; and grandson, Tyler Gingras.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the banquet room at Burnzee's Bar & Grill, 413 East Knoxville Street, Brimfield, IL 61517. This gathering will be a time to share stories, laughter, and memories that highlight the joy Dreme brought into our lives. Let's get together to celebrate Dreme in the way she would want us to.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of the following organizations that Dreme found to be very important and donated to or volunteered regularly for: the Center for Prevention of Abuse, Whitney's Walk for Suicide Prevention and Awareness, or the Human Rights Campaign.
