Drew Frith Burton was welcomed into heaven on January 23, 2024.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, friend, USC Gamecock's football fan, beach-lover, and fighter. Drew lived a full, vibrant, yet too short life, with his wife, Meredith Gernerd Burton, and daughters Emma Marie and Mary Kate.
Drew was born in Chestnut Hill on August 28, 1979, and was the devoted son of Thomas and Nancy Burton (nee Frith). Upon graduating from Wissahickon High School in 1998, Drew went on to the University of South Carolina where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business. Many of his lifelong friends were classmates.
Drew was the Director of Equity and Fixed Income Operations at Black Rock Financial Services. He was extremely intelligent and hardworking, and his greatest joy in life was his family. Drew was the dear brother of Kimberly Burton Carey (Steve), Rachele Bizzozero Foley (Andrew), Thomas Brad Burton (Heather), and Michael Bizzozero. He was the cherished son-in-law of Mark and Patricia Gernerd, brother-in law to Mark Gernerd, Jr. (Stacey), and adoring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Drew was preceded in death by his sister-in-law and friend, Rachel Gernerd.
Drew loved to golf, spending time with his family in Avalon, NJ, and was a longtime member of Cedarbrook Country Club. He was a proud University of South Carolina graduate and an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also closely studied the weather patterns, and you could always count on 'Doppler Drew' to know the weekly forecast!
Drew will be remembered for always having a smile on his face, his quick wit, and the love he had for Meredith and his girls. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
A Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 5 - 7pm at Boyd Horrox Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike. A Mass in celebration of Drew's life will be held at St. Helena Church of Blue Bell on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 10am. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations may be made to honor Drew and to support Emma and Mary Kate's education at https://www.ugift529.com Emma's Ugift Code: P7B-S8F and Mary Kate's Ugift Code: U6S-D9T.

I was Drew´s first grade teacher at Blue Bell. He was the sweetest little guy, conscientious, and a hard worker. My thoughts are with his family at this most difficult time. Susan Shanley
