Duane Bailey, Sr. Obituary
Mr. Duane Thomas Bailey, Sr. age 77 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. He was born on December 25, 1947, in Draper, North Carolina, to the late Powell Ray Bailey and Lois Vest Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers.
Duane worked from home as a self-employed computer technician for over 40 years. He will be remembered as never meeting a stranger. He loved trains and spending time with his family.
Duane is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Shropshire Bailey; a daughter, Marie Hill (Clyde); a son, Duane Bailey, Jr. (Lisa); a grandson, John Bailey Wright; a brother, Paul Garrett Bailey; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and close friends, including Lane Hatcher.
