Dude Stewart

Donald Harold "Dude" Stewart, age 80, of Lovelady passed away Saturday, November 21, 2025. Dude was born August 14, 1945 in Lovelady to parents, Sherman Lee Stewart and Sylvia Irene West Stewart. He graduated from Lovelady High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Dude worked for Louisiana Pacific for many years before retiring. He loved shoot skeet, play golf and softball, and really enjoyed hunting at the deer camp with his friends. Anyone who knew Dude, knew how much he enjoyed talking and visiting.
Dude is survived by brother, Billy Ray Stewart of Houston, sister-in-law, Avalon Stewart of Lovelady; nieces and nephews, Beverly and Darrell Gilmore, Janet and Terry Hopkins, Wayne and Barbara Stewart, Delinda and Ray Hukill, Chyrll and Karl Smithhart, Gina and John Jones, Tammy and Eduardo Henningham, Amy and Scott Leighman,Beth Stewart, step-children, Lee and Rhonda Stanley, Darrell and Kelly Stanley, Brian and Brooxie Stanley, Sheryl and Jim Poteet; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Stewart; parents, Sherman and Sylvia Stewart; sister, Melba Beard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jonny Paul and Kathryn Stewart, Bobby Lee Stewart, and Rosemary Stewart; nephew, Johnny Lee Stewart.
Funeral services for Donald Harold "Dude" Stewart will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis Ivey officiating. Interment will follow at then Lovelady Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. prior to service.
