Dustin Patrick Olson, 23, Florence passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Dustin was born on November 12, 2001, in Polson, MT to Sasha and Scott Olson. Dustin Attended high school in Florence, Mt where he loved playing football and participating in band. He also enjoyed music, motorcycles, cars, and spending time with his friends.
He currently was extremely proud of receiving his GED on September 3, 2025, which he had achieved almost all A’s! He was also incredibly proud of his sobriety and had a celebratory get together BBQ each July. He was always available to talk to anyone and everyone who needed support or just wanted to talk. Dustin loved to participate in armored combat with his brothers, Kyle and Jared, because he was able to spend time with them.
He will be missed by many of his friends. He made things better with his later night talks and supportive advice. He was always there for them during both good times and times of struggle.
Dustin LOVED his dog, Violet. Recently he wrote that she “has become my light and my home”. She reminded him “That I am more than capable of being loved unconditionally.”
He is survived by his mother, Sasha Olson Herriot and Stepfather, Rodney Herriot; Brothers, Kyle (Marki) Olson, and Jared (Brittany Nabor Olson); grandparents, Darlene (David) Burtch, Eugene (Jan) Friedrich, Janet Olson, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on October 3, 2025, in Florence, MT
