Dwain R. Deupree passed away January 2 at Risen Son Christian Village. He was born on February 2, 1945 to Carl and Melinda Deupree in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He grew up in Persia, Iowa and graduated from Tri-Center High School with the class of 1963. During high school and for four years following graduation, he worked as a mechanic in the family business, Persia Oil Company. He was then drafted into the army and spent the next two years serving his country as a truck driver stationed in Germany. Upon discharge from the army, he went to work for the Rock Island Railroad. Following this he received his certification as a machinist in Tool and Die and began working as a machinist for Inland Manufacturing Company. He then worked part time for the post office. He spent nine years working as a delivery driver for Mel Franks Company. His many customers became his good friends. He spent his later years working at Oriental Trading Company, retiring after twenty eight years from the shipping department.

Dwain's greatest enjoyments in life were visiting with his many friends over a good cup of coffee or watching sports.
