Dwan Marvin Peel, age 37, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Mandeville, LA. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Dwan was a graduate of Bethel High School in Hampton, VA, and went on to work in Industrial Maintenance Services for Apache Industrial, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. His life was rooted in love, dedication, and hard work. Dwan will be remembered for his warm spirit, quite strength, and caring heart that has left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Devoted father of Jeremiah, Ayden, Justice, and Mariah. Beloved son of Duane M. Peel, Sr. (AnKe), Vincent Ibiam and Ella Ibiam. Stepson of the late Sheila Peel. Grandson of the late Marvin and Doris Peel, Alfred and Doris Smith. Loving brother of Duane Jr., (Ashley), Oliver, Keontae, Darius, Oreian, Dorian, Dayna, Jalynn, Christina, Danielle, and Shenita. Uncle of Tiasia, Tyjah, Taylah, Noelle, Matelyn, and Zuri. Dwan is also survived by his bonus mother Tonya Gordon, his former wife Jakia Peel, and a host of other relatives and friends, who will forever cherish his memory. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service at the parlor.
