Dwayne K. Bearce

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that the family of Dwayne Keith Bearce, age 74 of San Jose, Illinois, announces his untimely passing on October 6, 2024.
Dwayne was born April 19, 1950 and was a lifelong resident of San Jose, IL. He was a devoted Christian and a prideful man. He loved gardening, fishing, boating, old cars, "oldies music" (50's and 60's) and everything about trains. He graduated in 1968 from San Jose High School and married his sweetheart Bonnie Mae Nichols from Green Valley, Illinois. They created a wonderful life together that included four daughters: Tina Jojola, Christina Baker, Peggy Anderson and Heather Staley. Though times were sometimes tough, the family foundation was always strong with love, compassion and forgiveness.
Dwayne is preceded in passing by his parents, Clarence Franklin Bearce and Beatrice Shipp, his brothers Gaylord Bearce and Raymond Bearce and his great granddaughters Breelynn and Amilia Moss. Dwayne is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Mae Bearce and all of his children; Tina Jojola, her daughter Megan and husband Mario Jojola of Bosque Farms, New Mexico; Christina Baker, her son Cody and daughters Brittany and Chloe and husband Greg Baker of Tremont, Illinois; Peggy Anderson, her daughter Ashlynn, sons Bryce and Cayden and husband Joe Anderson of Pekin, Illinois; Heather Staley, her daughters Makayla, Betty Jean and sons Jonah and Wyatt of Morton, Illinois. We cannot forget his great grandchildren Adelyn and Wyatt who are the grandchildren of Peggy Anderson.
A proper accounting of Dwayne's life cannot be contained in enough words to tell of his devotions, sacrifices and accomplishments.
Services for Dwayne will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E Chestnut Street, Mason City, IL. The visitation will be held the same day from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Cody Baker will be officiating the proceedings, burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, online condolences can be left at www.hurleyfh.com. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of the arrangements.
