Dwayne Allen Mears, 65, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Dwayne was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 15, 1959 to Patsy (McCaslin) Billings and Floyd "Sonny" Mears. He worked at General Waste for 20 years and Porters for 12 years. In his free time, Dwayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley, going to the casino, and tinkering with things in his garage. He was an avid NASCAR fan and used to race dirt track cars. Dwayne had a heart of gold and great sense of humor. Dwayne loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
Dwayne is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Bertha (Wilhite) Mears of Evansville, IN; daughter, Crystal O'Mullane (Jeffery) of Evansville, IN; son, Jason Lovely of Evansville, IN; sisters, Lana Oldham (Timmy) of Chandler, IN and Kim Williamson (Jeff) of Evansville, IN; brother, Floyd "Bud" Mears (Marie) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Alyssa Lovely, Blake Lovely, Braden "Buddy Boy" O'Mullane, and Paisley "Stinky Britches" O'Mullane.
In addition to his parents, Dwayne was preceded in death by his sister, Chris Hutchinson.
No services will be held at Browning Funeral Home.
