Dwight Lyman Becker, Jr., age 84, of Oilton, OK, passed away on August 2, 2025, at home, surrounded by close family and friends.
Dwight was born on November 15, 1940, in Tulsa, OK to Dwight and Helen Becker. After serving in the Air National Guard, he graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1966 and went on to work a long career in advertising for Safeway Stores, Inc. and Fleming. He married Barbara in 1971, and together they built a life together spanning almost 54 years, raising a family, traveling, and enjoying retirement for over 20 years.
Dwight is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons Mahlon Henderson of Oilton, Chad (Brian McGraw) of Tulsa, Will Morton (Patrick Nowick) of Tulsa, and Wade Morton of Stilwell, and several nieces, nephews and dear friends that adored him. Dwight was preceded in death by his father Dwight, mother Helen, stepmother Dorothea, sister Jo Ann, and brother Bruce.
Dwight was active in reserve law enforcement for much of his adult life, serving for the Tulsa Auxiliary Police and honor guard for many years and as a reserve officer for Oilton after settling there in retirement. He loved amateur radio, achieving his licensing in the late 1970’s and maintaining active membership in the Tulsa Repeater Organization.
The family would like to thank Dainyell Pennington and the staff with Elara Caring for their kindness and support during Dwight’s final days.
