Dwight Lee Konic, 72 years old of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2025, after a 14 year battle with prostate cancer. Dwight was born on April 18, 1953 in Akron, OH to the late Mike and Dorothy Konic.
Dwight graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1971, and retired from Ohio Edison in 2018, after 38 years of service; he often said “retirement was the best career he ever had!” He loved his lunches with classmates at River City Grille on Thursdays and Tuesday breakfast at Woody’s with the Ohio Edison retirees. Dwight did not let his cancer diagnosis bring him down, going to the Natatorium routinely and hiking with his beloved wife, Lisa, and grandpup, Toski, he enjoyed staying active and healthy.
Dwight was a devoted family man, who loved nothing more than being there for those he cherished most, including his close and extended relatives. When it came to his family, Dwight was a man of action, he would be the first one to lend a helping hand, an ear to listen to, and was always a drive or phone call away.
Dwight is proceeded in death by his brother, John Konic, and sister, Grace Yoho. He is survived, and will be missed greatly by his wife of 36 years, Lisa, their daughter Courtney (Ben), and son Alex (Megan), his siblings Michael (Betsi), Duane (Pam), Bill (Cindy), Paul (Brenda), Linda (Joel), and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Dwight’s legacy of love, service, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Visiting hours will start at 10:00 AM on January 3, 2026 with service to follow at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, located at 1930 Front St Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Luncheon will take place at Duane and Pam’s at 246 Lindsay Rd Monroe Falls, OH after the service.
In lieu of flowers, dedicate your donation to The Cuyahoga Falls Cancer Club.
